I have ordered a MDR-Z7M2 to use with Astell & kern DAPs.
I saw that the balanced cable is 4,4 MM.
could you recommend me another balanced cable with 2.5 mm TRRS ? or an adaptor 4.4mm female to 2.5mm Male ?

thanks

Yeah, same. Emailed them to see what's happening and replied shipping mid Jan so sale is accepted. Woot! :)

Thinking of getting these for use with my WM1A. Mainly use with my XM3 via LDAC when on the move, however I find the XM3 sig to be slightly too dark. How does the Z7M2 sig compare? I’ve seen some people elsewhere say/imply that it’s also dark sounding

I listened to them on demo at Best Buy in their Magnolia store and I thought it sounded great. They have 70mm drivers and the sound is big, enveloping and warm. They gave me the impression of a live performance. It was great. I would certainly not classify them as dark, but for those that enjoy bright, bass-light signatures, they’ll probably not like these.

The predecessor was the one that's dark. These ones are a bit more V.

Beyerdynamic has cables for the T1 and T5p both second edition. They offer a 2.5 mm balanced cable. I have the 3.5 mm cable on my Z1R right now. Well made OCC pure copper. Should be what you need.

i have check and here is the cable I saw on the Beyerdynamic web site ! how do you proceed to order ? could not find their shop online.
Also the connector of the Sony MDR Z7M2 are not exactly the same as the Z1R ones !

here is the picture I saw

I'm considering order this supposed upgrade cable : GUCraftsman 6N silver for Sony MDR-Z1R MDR-Z7 MDR-Z7M2 2.5MM/4.4MM Balance Headphone cable
the 2.5 mm balanced one for the Sony MDR Z7M2.
the cable is : 6N OCC silver wire

will this cable be a real upgrade with the headphone ?
I have basically the same thing as @headfi19 and it works like a charm. Honestly, probably won't make much of a difference. An upgrade from a bad cable to a good cable is perceptible, but from a good cable to a great cable is a crash course in diminishing returns. Maybe if you have the hearing of a dog, sure, it may be worth the money, but you're better off investing in a upgraded AMP/DAC.
