im talking like $20.. i don't think i have the "audiophile ears" to really tell the difference between these $100 phones... so can u please just tell me if the v700 is better than the 7502 or vice versa...

Here is my opinion of the MDR-V700DJ:

My brother has always told me these words whenever I describe the sonic quality of these headphones: If you can't say something nice, then don't say one f##king word!

As for the MDR-7502:

HEY! WHERE'S THE BEEF? (With apologies to those 1984 Wendy's commercials)

I would say go for the flashier looking V700 and use them as head decoration

(not for anything else)

If you're only looking to spend $20, why not just get the Koss KSC-35s or 55s for about that same price? You don't have to spend $100 to get a taste of good sound. But if you insist on not passing up this deal of the century, I second Joe Bloggs' opinion.

get the v700. it has a very high reputation under the bassheads that don't know good sound when it hits em in the face. you'll be able to sell em for a lot more than you paid and get some headphones that aren't terrible in stead.

Between the 2 you mentioned, the 7502s are probably more accurate, but they might be lacking bass.

You should be getting the KSC 35s, they are better phones for just a bit more, $30. I have the Koss Porta Pros, they sound good, and the KSC-35 are supposed to be even better.

Just my 2 cents.

Well, for $20 you could do much worse... Team Coby anyone?

Are they brand new? Just resell them at market price, that would be teh win

But to tell the truth I've only heard the V700 for a little while at a Sony showroom and the 7502 not at all. You should let your ear have a vote on this--perhaps you'd like the V700 sound--just be prepared to be called a dumbass

And besides if you haven't heard good sound before, crap can taste good

Hope this doesn't sound insulting

Just trying to say that your ears are the final judge

actually that is a very good idea.. i saw em on ebay for like over $100 used

i do not like ciramural (sp?) type phone that cover the entire ear.. it usually feels unfomfortable to me... so the sony v6/7506 are out of question...

i guess i will pick up the sennheiser 490 or so?

As someone who's spent hundreds of hours listening to the V700's ugly little brother, the V500, I'd say buy them and put it on ebay. The bass is so boomy that all you will be able to hear is the low-end and unrealistic high-end. Mid-range doesn't exist. Unless you use an equalizer and boost the mids and highs your songs will sound terrible.
