Outstanding.  There are technically and financially supposed to be headphones a lot better however I almost never feel more engaged listening to music than when I have my MDR-V6's on.  I've got them on as I type now listening to a somewhat modified CMOYBB and iMod iPod 4th generation. 
 
I'm sorry but this cheap old mashup of gear sounds as good or better than a lot of high dollar stuff I've had the luck to listen to here in Japan.
