New Head-Fier
Hello everyone, I would like to know if the Sony MDR 7520 is worth the asking price of around $310.
I heard and read many great things about it. Thanks

Well after a couple months of deciding between in ears and headphones, it looks like it's settled, I'll be getting the Sony MDR 7520 sometime this August. Can't wait to try it!!!
Well they just came in the mail after about two days of wait, and so far they sound absolutely wonderful!still have mine....sure there is a bit of a mid bass hump
but over all for clarity and details they're fun to listen to...
easy to drive, too, and as such are my portable choice with a mojo.
Awesome @canali, I have an AH-D2000 which is very similar to the TH-X00 from what I've heard. I actually love my Denon's, they have a really good quality to the bio-cellulose drivers that really sounds different than other dynamic drivers I've heard. Hard to explain, its juicy and liquid like. The D2000, is pretty flat, and doesn't have a mid-bass hump at all. It's actually a lot like my LCD2 in that respect. It is sharp on the treble end, even sharper than my HD700. But I find it does provide an audiophile-grade experience with this treble tilt. The D2000, aren't just fun for electronic music, they are actually great for jazz and classical timbres.
My vintage '80s HD250 Linear Mk1 600ohm sits in the middle of my D2000 and 7520 sonically. It has an awesome balance - you can just crank it, sort of like the LCD2.
Interested to hear your TH impressions.
