While sony ex500lps are widely popular in Asia with their higher end siblings, it seems they are under the radar in US. And the monster turbines are just in opposite. how are they compared to each other?

I had the turbines for a while when they were on sale for $58. At this price they are pretty good, I'd say balanced sound with "good bass" for the non-basshead. Worth the $60 but if you buy it regular price then you should look for better a choice. Mine came with a cracked driver and many people here have complaint about the QC. No words about the sony, but according to most reviews they are uncomfortable and the sound is muddy.

It seems the sony IEMs are really not in the main stream here.
