Can anyone recommend any trusted sellers that will do the MH755 MMCX mod for me? I'm not comfortable disassembling and soldering.

I'm in Singapore if that helps

I wonder if anyone tried this?

I used standard o-rings(for mechanical keyboard keycaps; need to use two o-rings on each ear tip).
Rings are put on ear tips very tight.

The amount of low frequencies(and possibly bass detail quantity) increases slightly.

Anyway, the MH755 must be used with an equalizer.
With such rings on the ear tips, the amount of low frequencies will be unnecessarily large in most cases without an equalizer(even at medium volume).

After purchasing close to 25 units Authentic Sony MH750/755 and some fake MH750
I finally receive a Fake White MH755 "AG-0503" Mfg 13W36 2013 wk 36 :frowning2:

1. A/B Audio Testing with my Authentic MH755 taken off from a Sony Bluetooth Retail box compared to the Fake MH755, The Fake is slightly veiled, lacks a little Clarity, but Bass is good, smooth & rounded with just a Slight Sibilance in it's Sound Signatures, it's like Night and Day and very obvious but not bad Sound signature for a fake :)..

EDIT/
Ok actually after listening for a while, the drivers of the fake MH755 has warmed up a bit..its by far the best fake MH earphones I have listened to, so I might just keep it in my collection :) A good attempt at the fake from this manufacturer, which is trying to achieve the harman curve ss perhaps :p

2. Authenticy CE/Product Tag is poorly printed the fonts and espcially description for "TYPE AG-0503" is distorted on the Fake Tag

3. Within the Driver..the Fake comes with a Sticker Air Vent !!!! compared to the real which is a Real hardware Air Vent & The Real MH755 TYPE AG-0503 mfg 2013 also comes with a off-centred air vent.

EDIT/
After a more detailed investigation, there's indeed an air vent, but its a sticker filter which is slightly peeling off at the bottom edge, YES its actually an air vent !

4. Fake is also missing the 2 x Solder dots (2 small eyelets)

5. Fake also comes with a shorter cable than the Authentic MH755

Ignoring the crap solder job, do these look legit?

Sorry for the bad photo, couldn't get the camera to focus any closer.
confirm they are authentic..see the 2 small Eyelets/Solder dots..

All the Fakes I come across does not have that and you have TYPE: AG-0503 Mfg 2013 with the off centered air vent

I picked up a MDR-EX155AP. It has a nice clean sound with a tuning that is extremely similar to the MH755.

The cable is a normal length cable, so none of that short J cable BS.

The shell doesn’t easily come apart, so don’t plan on any mmcx mods. It’s really just an alternative for people who want an alternative to a recabled MH755. You just buy it and you’re done.

They sell it at Best Buy, Amazon, as well as many other places.

I will also mention that the MDR-EX155AP tips are the identical tips that come on the $1700 TOTL flagship IER-Z1R.

They are hybrid dual stiffness silicone design, with special ‘dots’ all along the skirt. So the MDR-EX155AP is worth it alone just for the unique and rare Sony tips.

I actually planned to transfer my ZS3 drivers into a fake black MH755 shell. Might do it in the future
Well, I actually did it, although very limited.

Transplanted a ZS3 driver into an MH755 shell, thank god I have spare cables.
Unfortunately the other driver and the other casing's nozzle is broken and missing so it's gonna be something of a WIP for a while.
This should serve as a practice too, though my soldering still sucks, but I learned how to use the flux and clean the tips properly!

This should probably keep me away from quarantine boredom for a while. 😆

I bought those same tips from AE for less than 3$. At least they look the same.

EDIT: Link fix
