That's what I'm thinking too, the driver is too neatly made to be something of a counterfeit, so my pair might be on the lines of OEM side. I guess I'm pretty much assured with your words, kinda don't wanna regret purchasing what I poured my sweat and tears modding the hell out of it.

Rest assured @captione with your mods ..I would also most likely be acquiring the TYPE: AG-0500/0501 mfg 2018/19 with the straight 3.5mm audio jack just for collecting purpose
And confident, (once i pop the shells) that the 2 x solder dots/2 small eyes still remains and it's harman curve sounding signatures would still be relevant even today with current new stocks

Awesome..a rare 2014 Mfg MH750 Driver..as suspected during the same period from 2012-2013/4 and with a similar driver H/W as the popular 2013 mfg MH755 off centered vent too :)

Exactly. I’ve never seen one on an MH750 myself. Only the MH755.

Very cool/rare!

Guys, I just found out that one of the signs of authenticity is a sequential number iside the shell EC6 & EC7 for mh750. Maybe new batch is different from 2012/3/4 MFG..

Some of my friend told me for that batch its supposed to be pic no 3 for the driver, but i dont dare to open it😅

All of the MH755 and MH750 drivers that I own look like #3. All black nozzle mesh, same driver metal grille.

Only major difference is the vent on the back of the driver (offset vs centered). The circuit boards are also slightly different, but they all have the 2 solder dots.

@dc90 Yes there are huge variations as pointed out by @Slater see attached images shared by @irv003 which shows the earlier 2012-2014 & the latter 2015-2019 Cable stems, which are night & day but both are genuine stuffs, only from different periods of Sony's production chains

Right Stem Sample 2012-2014 (MH 750/755)

Hey guys, long time lurker but a new member.
Looks like I received this version. I didn't know this straight jack version existed and assumed it was fake when I unboxed it. Hesitantly, I did put it on to just laugh at the sound but holy crap! to my surprise, it sounded so close to my other IEM which I EQ'ed with harman target. Sadly, I can't rip it apart because I don't have required tools with me. Posting some pictures for reference. The dead giveaway was obviously the sound which I immediately recognized and it didn't do other things on the outer particularly wrong I guess but I'm leaving it here for you experienced people to verify.
Btw, how deep and how tight do these go in your ear? A pic would be helpful.
I didn't receive the other size buds with this package. Hence, I'm skeptical if I should get the larger size to just check it out.
For now, the medium size fits pretty well and bass is abundant if I placed them in a right direction but it's not a super tight seal like my other IEM and thankfully it isn't paining too like my other one did

Congrats @Searchdwor They are authentic mate for sure, I can vouch for you, also your ears cant lie, the Harman curve sound signature is magical for cheap :) this is aTYPE: AG-500 / 18W22 - MFG 2018 Week 22 so there would be some variations in the other parts of the earphones

Btw , where did you acquire this babies ? just curious :)

Thanks mate, that was quite a surprise for me aswell.
UK ebay. Pretty much the top seller. I'm not sure if I can link it here but his name starts with 'j'. Initially, he sent the fake ones and he apologized saying it's by mistake and their staff didn't check the stock before sending and replaced with these. :) Good guy though.

haha..understand mate, most likely coming from the same supplier who is de-bundling from the Xperia mobile phone retail boxes in Shenzhen as we speak, thanks for sharing the images very good news to see it available finally

And many months before, the china wholesalers were already mentioning about these new stocks,.saying that Sony faced some complaints from the mobile phone market. that the L-Jack is difficult to insert due to now phones having protection cases, thus they came out with this new version in 2018/19

The irony was that many who had a MH750 2018/19 straight 3.5mm Jack back then , called them out to be fakes & either burned them or toss them into the dumpster :p Amazing that the ignorant couldn't discern from what was an awesome sounding IEM then ..but judge poorly by sheer looks alone ..sad
