Has anyone tried or been using True-Fi?
Ive downloaded the free trial, and its like wow my he400i has really come to life, the only thing is that I am getting some clipping, but its fun being able to tune my headphones.
I also tried them with my 700s ,still had to adjust the treble though.
Before buying Id like to get some feed back from the community.

Ok,so after using this program a little while longer I can say that for me I’m no longer happy with it.
Main issues are that I’m getting clipping,it cannot control my dac,and the price was way to high in my opinion.
I no longer use it,and wish I could get back my money, although I know that’s not possible.

If you are using this software with windows, I would be willing to try to help you via pm or phone. I have had it for a couple of months, and had a devil of a time getting the settings right. Pm me if you want. Cheers.

I have just started to use it on a Mac via Audirvana then out to my Chord TT.
I have noticed a wider dynamic range and some clipping. There is a setting in True-fi for reducing volume to avoid clipping so it is obviously something of which they are aware.

Thanks,I’m using this with a MacBook, but when I have the chance I’ll take you up on your offer of help.
The reason I asked about your os is because I am not sure I can help you with a mac os, as I have literally never used an apple product, and I believe the interface between os and True-fi is quite different from windows/Truefi interface, so not sure I could help in that context. Willing to try though. Cheers

I'm trying it out with my HE-4xx and 400i models. I set the bass to 0dB, less likely to distort, and it does bring the low end in nice. Adds nice enough low-end at 0, that I don't need to go plus. If anything, I'd go the other direction. at -3dB, it takes some of the boominess out and rolls off gently to the lower frequencies.

A profile for those recent Monolith 1060 or 1060C would sell me on this, and them.

Well, I've used it up to the end of the trial and liked it enough to keep until I get my Audezes in July. Then I'll put it on my wife's machine with the JDS Labs Element and the HD-650s.
