Hi

So I picked up a PX100 a few days ago for my new main headphone as I've killed my MX500 accidentally (i didnt really like'em anyways). I have an 1G Shuffle as my mp3 player and with the shuffle AND the PX100 being bass-heavy, it's a lil' too much bass for me. Are there other MP3 players out there with a little less bass than the shuffle, but otherwise good SQ (maybe the 5/5.5G iPod, or the 2nd/3rd-gen shuffle)?

I use my px100's with a 2gen Nano. I noticed that it was too bass heavy until I turned the eq to treble booster. Now they sound pretty balanced, and fit my tastes much better.

Tried out Treble Booster... it's definitelly much better, however the highs of the PX100 are awfully sweet. Can't help that I guess.

i would say anything other than a shuffle will do. shuffles does make my canal phones even bassier than they are... which should not even be possible

Heh, no, that's not the only reason, only one of them. Been looking for something bigger since awhile (4+ GBs... then again might have been considered teh 2/3g shuffles if they'd have good SQ).

How "less bassy" is the KSC75?
