Thanks vcoheda, an interesting read. I might tackle balanced later on, I don't currently have HD650's and if I am going to get them they will be purchased balanced

All this reading has got me thinking though, I have had my eyes on a VDA2 for some time and from what I have read it seems that the DAC component is a bit lacking. In saying that though, it really comes down to cash and as value for money goes it seems the Opera with DAC is hard to beat.

I just wish someone here in Brisvegas had one... but it appears not.
