If you were truly gansta, you would make a portable rig out of the turntable. Perhaps a Hi-Fi cart? Maybe a baby carriage? OH! I know, one of those remote controlled golf bag carriers!

LOL! That would be quite funny.

I'm not sure who this thread is directed at, but my portable (gym) rig is Sansa Clip -> Klipsch Image X5. I feel no need to ever upgrade.

My work rig is gonna be EEE PC -> Pico -> DT770/250, which is also has good as I would ever want for that application.

Try either the Sansa Fuse into a Nuforce Icon Mobile or the iMod into a iBasso Boa feeding either the ESW9 or ESW10JPN. These are my combinations that I work with today. I also have a first gen Nano that I can through into the works. BTW, that little Fuse ear-bud is not bad for what it is.

Fuse with 16gig microSD (~120) + Icon Mobile (~100) + ATH-ESW10JPN (~500) or approximately (~750 after shipping).

Mainly Creative Zen Sleek -> KSC75 (Kramer mod & recable). If it's not too inconvenient then I may throw in the Go-vibe Petite.

It also smoothes the treble quite nicely, while not taking away detail. I also carry a bag with me, so the size is not really an issue. Plus i love the separate volume-knob..
Only minus is that the senn's do have a small peak at around 150Hz, and the voyager is rather warm-sounding. This, on some albums, results in unwanted boomy bass.. :/

This beats all other 'portable' setups I've tried, esp. w/ a HD650 cable upgrade... makes the amp benefit more significant, taking steel out of the equation.

Samsung YP-Z5 lossless and future sonics atrio m5

Probably going to get a small amp or a Cowan player for better power. The Samsung is fine but we are talking bass here!

for those of you that own the klipsch image, i'm sure you will understand...

I have the large zip-up case that came with my klipsch image x10 and it holds my 2nd gen ipod touch, fiio e5, sansa clip 2g, and klipsch image x10 with extra eargels.

That's my day-to-day carrier.

price: ~$550
