KSC-75 are great but they're not that great. I'd take an HD595 over them, and I think the HD5x5 series kind of sucks. There's no point in overrating the KSC-75's performance, they do fine without any help.

Are these headphones quiet to anyone else? I have to turn my cd player and zune up pretty loud.

Time to visit the amp forum, my friend. Quick cheap rec: penguin caffeine. A 485 with such an amp will be grand.

here you go.

Please note, though, I don't have one, just been toying with the idea as an extra portable. However, the reviews are positive, and this kind of implementation of an AD8397 opamps has had a strong following ever since Tangent's PINT fiasco. If you watch the amp for sale forum, you might find a good cheap deal on a Go-Vibe V5 or 6 instead, which are also good cheap options, which I do have.
