what the hell kind of highschool did you go to?? if we dont properly quote, if we dont back up our thesis, if we dont have a thesis, if we dont do a proper bibliography, we fail. i'm currently a junior and its been like this since freshman year.

Nah, that was a college paper. Fortunately in Computer Science I only had a few essays like that, obviously in electives and other classes not related to my major.
