aha yea...i was hoping a SI-4 would pop up for comparison since its a bit different than the reg model
SI-4 already discontinued due to lack of interest.aha yea...i was hoping a SI-4 would pop up for comparison since its a bit different than the reg model
You're right. For SI-4 model was available only ash wood and leatherette pads. The design is simplified compared with SI-1/SI-2.
$90 pads tho
There is a thread in Russian language where you can find some customer reviews.
I believe google translate can help here (I would copy and paste the text from the original review into goggle translate rather than trying to translate the link itself)

100+ Head-Fier
From a proud user of NM-1 carbon, couple of words about them in hedphones starmap language )
Do you know if the SI-1/2 are considered mid-fi or junior flagship....would be interested to see the placement of those cans. From a proud user of NM-1 carbon, couple of words about them in hedphones starmap language )
interesting a brand I have yet to hear of. I am curious about the build quality of the flagship. I am curious what would be described as the house sound of this brand. Does it have a house sound?
I own the SI-2...I would say Snorry's sound is mostly neutral reference (based on his stock pads) good bass extension and slightly roll off in the treble region for easy listening

New Head-Fier
The wood looks amazing but they do look bulky and heavy, however the description says 500g...
certainly something Inwould consider in the future!

Depends on the wood of your choice....mahogany, teak, oak, walnut, composite are pretty lightThe wood looks amazing but they do look bulky and heavy, however the description says 500g...
More exotic wood such as purpleheart, wenge, zebrawood cost more and adds extra weight to the cups
To order Snorry headphones, you can choose the following wood species:
AMERICAN WALNUT
PURPLEHEART
COLOR COMPOSITE
I am also the proud owner of the si-1 model in amazingly beautiful karelian birch wood.
In the beginning, it was decorated with Zebrano wood.. Snorry kindly upgraded the membranes to the new version for me. And moreover, when I realized that I did not need the sound of any other large headphones, these new bowls were made at my request.
Yes, it looks brutal and authentic, has no small weight, but bravo to the master - these headphones are very ergonomic. I don’t know a single person who could complain about fatigue with prolonged use.
The design is as reliable as a Tank and you can always change the pressure or height without fear of ruining anything.

One more version. Not sure if this is a standard option though.

From various owners reviews and comparisons I understood that SI-1/2 are better than LCD-2 and landed somewhere at LCD-X level.Do you know if the SI-1/2 are considered mid-fi or junior flagship....would be interested to see the placement of those cans.
The pad mounting system on Snorry headphones are same as ZMF headphones i.e. you can swap out any pads you want. Dekoni and ZMF pads will fit well on it you could even use Brainwavz or AHG if you're on a budget. Due to the headphones tuning, only sealed pads will work. So no perforated or breathable materials such velour are not recommended by Snorry even though these are open back cans. The stock pads are $90 and they present mostly neutral tuning w/ slightly downward sloping FR.
