guys... please... just got an M400 and connected it to my SP400
only issue I have is... is there a way to use just one remote for both? (turn ON/OFF both and adjust SP400 volume is all I need)
I tried pressing "C" when M400 only was ON and... now the remote (SP400's one) only works with the DAC
thanks
The A B C buttons are not very intuitive. But otoh you have a spare remote now. ☺ The first time I was getting desperate too; 'stupid remote'. But the stupid was me. Until I got the Sp400 that was under the same B button as my DP5. Fortunately the DP5 works on Hiby so I use my phone as a remote mainly and the remote for the volume and switching inputs without too much interference.
I don't have to push any button so I might be wrong. But anyway, it works fine anyway. And if you need a new one it's only €7. The benefit of mass production.
Edit. This seems wrong. Yes, you need to push B once. Or A or C depending on the device.
you don't (except the very first time) if you only have one component
but if you have, eg, an M400 and an SP400... you must press, first, B or C to control the corresponding device using just one remote
Hey All - I know this thread has been dead a little while, but I'm looking into buying a used M400 or D1se. Do folks here still love their M400's? Any issues with MQA playback? Anyone have experience listening to both M400 and D1se? Thanks!
Apart that i really dislike AKM's treble, which Is far far worse than Sabre Chips.
It shuts down different times when i use on the phone via USB but even on TV, also SU-9 and Gustard X16 but this time i have to plug in several times to make It work. And if Qobuz or Tidal load a Song for too much and play again, It disconnect and i Need to plug different times.
What's the problem i have by 1-2 years?? It makes me use Bluetooth sometimes which sound worse.
Wow. That's a really negative rant. And a personal opinion. Usually the Sabre chips are considered negatively in treble quality. Too sharp, where the AKM is considered superior. The only negative about the AKM chips is that the factory burned down and that meant they couldn't produce any chips.
As for the connection issues; that does not necessarily points to the dac. Probably not.
