SMD vs. Through hole

I find SMD to be easier and a lot more fun; it takes a lot of practice to get the hang of it but once you learn you can populate a PCB in no time. Plus I hate trimming the leads off the back of a TH PCB.

I find SMD much easier to work with, especially when doing the PCBs myself as well as the soldering - 0603 with good twezers is no problem at all even though the tip of my soldering iron is bigger than the part

Making PCBs with through hole - drilling and through hole plating - is a pain in the neck.

But even if I didn't make my own PCBs I think I'd still prefer SMD
