Bought the T10vi as a present but opened it to try them (already have tried quite a lot of those Chinese cheapies) and burning them in now with an old MP3 player somewhere in the house. I would like to know if these are better than the ES800ms I have. Will post the results for you.

Dont have T10vi but ES800m is a very decent performer for less than USD10 ......but like me previous post ..check out the KZ ED2 @Special Edition or KZ CM9 . they re definitely better than ES800m imho ...cheers .

So the t10vi and ES800m are quite differently. The T10vi has strong bass which will no second give you too much or too less, it's no boom-boom bass also  but nice and only there if needed, coupled with a huge soundstage. Great for movies, rock and modern music. The ES800m has less bass, less of a V-shape EQ and less soundstage. The T10vi is much lighter and therefore it doesnt fall out of my ears as easily as the ES800ms. Build quality is both over what you would expect for the price, the T10vi even has remote control and a microphone.
Not having tried EQ'ing (800s doing great with some efford) I would consider the T10vi over the ES800ms only if youre looking for a better fit and stronger bass (and the remote eventually).

Thanks.   I'm definitely checking out the AWEI 800's, which may be a great "everyday" phone, allowing me to save my Ultimate Ears 600's for special occasions.  What's being hyped at the AWEI website right now is the  AWEI ES860 HI, which is being pitched as "Exquisite and Perfect. More Remarkable Than iPhone 6."  That's quite a claim, and a glimpse of the picture is proof of a phone with a unique, distinctive external design.  I'm anxious to see it reviewed.

The Awei models using the numbers 700 and 800 emulate the JBM MJ700 and MJ800.  I'd be very interested in reading a comparison between AWEI and JBM brands.

I will certainly look at those KZ ED2 phones. Already have the famous Monoprices though, does anyone know how they compare?

Also, I came across the Awei ES-Q9 wooden earphones. Seem to be good, according this thread: http://www.head-fi.org/t/684159/chinese-asian-brand-info-thread-headphones-iems-amps-dacs
Wondering how they sound compared to other phones. I have bought the Kanen KM 92s two times, but since the change they made in the phones 3 years ago they dont sound any good anymore. If these woodies are lots better I would certainly buy some (nice gifts arent they). Also, they look quite good of course.

Just got them, they are not bad at all.Put the ear tips from my Superlux HD381,my Superluxes died on me,right channel to be precise :frowning2:.Superluxes had much better and clearer sound, also much wider soundstage which comes with them being opet i guess.

Got the 800M and the Q9 (wood).
I prefer the sound of the Q9.  The Treble is nice, better bass and mids.  Not bad at all. I prefer them over the Phillips 3580.

Awei Q9 $4.50

Hi own this pair that tc posting, but they happened to be fake. Has anyone have experience with the fake ones? The sound is far but they are too loose and won't stay in. Left earbud is harder to put into my ear than the right one. I am looking for alternatives, but I'm ordering from china since I can't afford better ones right now (and dont really want too). But I need them to be smaller than the the S size it came with.
