Hi!;

I have Earsonics sm3 since november and i started to thinking to go for an ultimate upgrade for Ciem, so here is my question: which one is better sm3x8 or UM miracle ? Of course i'll be happy to hear your requests if you don't suggest either of them.:rolleyes:

Trying a custom, especially one as niche as the SM3x8, is almost always the same as owning it. I doubt you'll find anyone that owns both.

The UM Miracle mustbe better(more coherent sounding) because they are CIEMs desinged by UM and has 3 way crossover.

I might get crap for this, but without hearing the SE535x8, I'm going to say sell it and get a true custom Miracle.

I'm not sure if you're trying to keep the overall signature of your SM3 when going the custom route, but things tend to get lost when adding more drivers to an iem. Just some food for thought

I can do that, but what i can't understand is ; sm3x8 has 8 drivers and 4 way crossover why miracle is better than that , of course if miracle is better i will buy miracle

All i want is flawless mid's , high's and a perfect soundstage , i do like the soundstage and mid's of sm3 but i intend to improve it. Also i don't like the way sm3 produces high's.

More drivers don't always mean better sound. "Better sound" depends mostly on what you want from an IEM. Read up on more customs like the UM Merlin, Spiral Ear 5-way, etc. to see if they represent what you want out of customs.
