Just ordered This. :) Now I am really tapped out but its upgradable tube wise and op amp. Thanks for the Suggestions @pbui44 This should hold me over for sometime. With the Liquid spark and this combined With the Fostex T60RP. I did hear the GE tubes are pretty good. The only thing I am worried about is the Rattle that some of the T60 have had. :fingers_crossed:

So your complete audio purchase does not mean that you are done. You will have to check to see if each item works properly by itself and with other components. This includes, but it is not limited to, your concern with possible rattling in the T60rp and such. So once you get everything in, test everything out and post about it. :)

I have been thinking about a way to do that. It's good you're bringing it up though. I have a small JVC Home theater setup with Cambridge Soundworks cubes that I will probably use. Going to have to think about how to do that though with the Spark and preamp. The HP I can plug straight into the front of my JVC so that's not a problem. I have had the JVC since early 2000. It rarely ever gets turned off and is always on.:)

So I had LG bookshelf system’s HP out as a pre-out to a Headroom single-ended amp and Hifiman HE-4 (now Drop x Hifiman HE-X4) a long time ago, and it did sound very good, but I could not hear certain nuances that even came from the speakers, so I switched the line out to feed the Headroom amp, then to my LG bookshelf system.

After that, the nuances were on the HE-4 and speakers, but the HE-4 really started to provide sub-bass details that I never heard, very lush details in the mid-range that I had previously only heard on my old HD580 (still slightly better in the mid-range), and sparkliness in the treble that I had previously only heard in my old Pro 2900 (Pro 2900 still had slightly more sharpness in treble extension).

Yeah, stand-alone headphone amplifiers have generally become cheaper in the last 20 years, but still can vary much more in build quality and QC, almost regardless of price point. However, there really is no direct point, other than buying audio equipment is quite a lengthy journey that is, like revenge, always best served cold. :)

The liquid spark is still a month out. I hope they don't cancel the order.😬 At least I can use my JVC to test my HP and preamp. I will have to mess around try some different setups see if I can tell the difference. Some good examples though.👍

I originally ordered from Amazon and cancelled the order just now. Reordered it now says April 8th. They also had try out locker pickup for $10 off so I picked up some Monoprice 1.5 ft RCAs and got the spark for $58.😁 I'm surprised people are not snapping these up @$61 lol

So far as I have only had them going for about 15 min I love them! My Moto G6 is almost all the way up. The dynamics are spot on might be little off balanced on the high end. Nothing major. My EDM is detailed and the low end is solid and crisp. Don't really know how else to describe it. Going to run some more test when I get time. One other thing no rattle at 40HZ 😁 and no squeaky hp joints.

That might be clipping on the top end, which may show that the T60rp needs more power. You can connect your T60rp to your JVC bookshelf system and Moto G6 to the AUX in the meantime. If you need roomier ear pads and can wait for shipping from China, then hopefully this AE mobile link will show up for you:

If you find the headband uncomfortable, then you can also get a ZMF Pilot pad (no clone available, so this can wait for later):
