Let's come to a decision quickly and arrange for a collection of money. What would be the most affordable and convenient location (preferably centralised like maybe Ang Mo Kio etc.) for our PAX?

I wonder if someone can help find a place to stay during this meet? Being my first time going to SG, I'm not familiar with the place and probably need a guide too.

I will be on vacation in Singapore from September 5th to 10th... It will be great if I can participate, however my wife and kid can be a limitation though.

By the way, can I ask something else? Are there any good head-fi/hi-fi shops in Singapore? I am mostly interested at the moment to buy a tube amp for the DT-880 buds. I currently use it on my HDP R10. Tried to google it online but couldn't really find any. Any good suggestions?

There are alot of hotels that you can stay in ranging from like say 100 sgd per night to thousands of dollars for a suite, depends on your budget and also your preferred location if any. Most reputable hotels have their normal rooms starting 300sgd upwards. You should do some googling, check out some tourist websites.

If you are looking to buy amps, there's only one place you can go, Jaben, at The Adelphi. The closest MRT Station to Jaben is City Hall (NorthSouth Line--- Red). It's quite simple to get to that particular station through maps and maybe asking the staff in stations.

However, after you get out of the station, you would have to ask around for directions. Unless of course, someone from the meet is willing to bring you there.

Thanks. I checked some old thread saying that Stereo is a place for desktop amps and Jaben is more for portable amps. Is that still true? I am looking for a decent tube actually. And how can I take part in the meet, never been to a meet before myself though... What is the procedure here?

Both Jaben and stereo mainly sell headphones/earphones/portable-rigs, for desktop gear like dac/amp, very likely it would be better to look elsewhere...

Btw, this is how I shop here:

- find info and list down models online

- find respective local dealer of each brand

- contact local dealer (email, phone, on-site etc)

Jaben is NOT the only place to go with regards to purchasing or demoing amplifiers.

Sorry! My resources may be limited. Very very sorry, no intend to stir up an argument. But if not Jaben where?

Edit:
I know it isn't the best place to buy them but to demo them, I honestly can't think of a better place
