anyone out there have a free simple computer equalizer software that they could reccomend? Ive been searching forums and google and all the stuff i try is either too confusing it doesnt work well or at all.  all i need is a stright up EQ software that will apply that eq settings to all my audio, i dont want to have to eq everything i play media on from spotify, to itunes, to vlc media player for movies, etc.

I would have to recommend foobar 2000. All in one audio player, with 10> equalizer.

is there anything that will control all my audio from any player? rather than a player with an EQ?

Foobar is like iTunes, but you can upload FLAC to it as well as numerous other high quality music formats.

If your sound driver doesn't include such an utility, there's no such thing as a ‘simple‘ solution. The mainstream solution is VAC+VSTHost+your choice of VST EQ plugin, and that's very complicated indeed... but potentially worth the effort.
