"Mid-Fi" seems to be really fitting.
They are fun headphones, nice to listen to with a broad Spectrum of Genres.

I bought mine ages ago and have really fond memories of them.
Since then I Upgraded a few Times and by now I am in a much bigger league with my Hifiman Arya.

The quality Jump is so huge, that I couldnt enjoy the Shure1540 any more.

For their pricerange they are great tho.
I want to try Focal Stellia.

Does anybody use Shure SRH1540 headphones balanced from the Lotoo Paw Gold Touch? ****UPDATE****
The SRH1540 headphones are sublime on LPGT.

Absolutely no complaints for my mine connected to L&P W2(131) 4.4MM balanced, as well. In fact, I got an approximate 15% boost in volume. (vol at ~60 high gain)
The Shure SRH1540 is very under appreciated. I have heard $4,000 high-end headphones and still prefer SRH1540. I listen balanced from Lotoo Paw Gold Touch and Sony NW-WM1Z. My listening level is low to moderate.

Perhaps not many People prefer low level listening but I think it's pure enjoyment.
I like hearing, so I would rather preserve my hearing at 58 years of age. The SRH1540 almost has a built in loudness switch, which really helps. It is pure enjoyment. I am done searching for endgame.

I'm very sensitive to ear fatigue. That's why I prefer it. I like natural volume and good dynamic. At low volume, I find focusing is easy, harmonics are even.
Me as well.

SRH1540 is way better than most headphones at lower volume

I agree… but if I were to add eq, I would only boost the sub-bass 2db and attenuate the upper region of the mid-bass (affecting vocals) by 2db… and maybe add a few db to the “air” region of the upper treble. I’d hate to change the tuning much more than 2db because the SRH1540 is already a comfortable listen…
