I'm after a pair of closed phones for listening to in bed (not disturbing you know who). I've been using my Shures but find they are a little lean on the bass side of things. Is there any budget headphones that you could recommend that have a bit more punch for $50 to $100?

Cheers
Blake.

If yoiu could find the M Audio Q40's used, they have plenty of punch. Also for $30 you could get the panasonic htf-600 which goes nice and low!!

There's a mod for the SRH440, which involves removing a piece of foam in the driver, that reportedly increases bass. You can search for it in the forum. Never tried it on my 440 though, so I can't say how effective it is.
