Shure replaced my broken E500 Thanks Shure!

My E500 tip broke off while in its case. headphones.com looked up my sales receipt and emailed it to me. Send the phone to Shure, and just less than 2 weeks door to door I find a brand new box waiting for me at home with a new pair (as far as I can tell) of SE530.

It came with the new black foam / olives? I am trying them now and they are even more comfortable then the soft grey tips that I used to like. The sound is different, still too new to decide what's is different.

Anyway great customer service. And I was looking at a pair of UE5Vi to use with my iPhone because of the mic cabling...

The sound should be the same, E500 and SE530 are exactly the same thing. If yore now getting a better seal due to using the black foams however, that may change the sound.

I do think tips change the sound. Not day and night difference, bit very subtle.
Using the olives, do you notice the sound has a bit more body than your E500?

Yeah, olive does give a slightly fuller mid.
