I have done the Kramer mod, but while I feel it made some improvement, I am still unimpressed with them. Especially when compared to the ER6i, which I feel are superior in nearly every aspect. Don't get my wrong, they are still decent headphones, but I wish I had bought the Etymotics instead. In fact, I might buy the the ER6i rather than the replacing my wax guards and sleeves
