The SCL4 Shures do have a barb on them. I got off the phone with a rep from Shure earlier today and apparently the set I'm going to be receiving DOES have a barb.
To me, this is awesome news.
I love the barb. The barb is my friend.
The barb keeps the silicone sleeves from getting stuck in my ears after they've been worn for a few weeks.
