Hello everyone I just bought the TW2 that comes with earbuds I think they are Se215 or aonic 215. Is it safe to use this adapter with other IEM’s? Like the Tin HiFi 3, is the only one I’ve got with that connector. Or which chap, below $100 you recommend for this adapter Tw2? I will use it mainly at the gym.
so my case has stopped receiving charge, has anyone else had this issue before and resolved it?
Really don’t want to have to return these first hiccup in 6 months.
Does anyone know if the TW2 will drive the Tinhifi P1 Plus? That’s the best mmcx IEM in my price range. I’m using them now with the T3, but the shape is not the best for exercise use. Or can anyone recommend another IEM in that price range that has a MMCX connector and that SQ?
After reading this thread and and a lot of the going wireless…, I finally ordered the TW2. It came in a bundle with the Aonic 215, actually cheaper than just buying the adapters. After returning a lemon, the second pair is really good.
I am a big Etymotic fan, my favorite iems are the Evo, then the Er4XR. Until recently I have used used an Etymotic Er2Xr with the Etimotion bluetooth cable for my commuting and walks. The cable stopped working after two years. I have or have had Jabra 65T, Sony Wh1000m3, Air pods and Air pods Pro first generation. I came to the conclusion that I do not like active noise cancelling and did not like the tuning of any of the mentioned Bluetooth iems and headphones.
Now I must say I am very happy with the TW2 with the Aonic 215. I find them really comfortable. They do not move at all and I do not have to adjust them. The sound is very nice to my ears, very neutral, as I like with the Etymotic. The sound is actually better than I expected. Passive isolation is pretty good. The environment mode is fantastic. Bluetooth connection both with my Iphone and with the Astell SR25 is flawless. I am truly happy with the purchase: an excellent product as a whole.
The TW2 is so slept on... I had been through the fiio adapters, the new moondrop adapter, and the IFI go pod, but none of them were consistent about charging, or connection. The TW2 with some little 2 pin adapters is running any of my IEMs and I honestly can't hear a quality difference between it and my Qudelix 5k... If they made a native 2 pin version of this, maybe with LDAC, it would really be a winner.
I say let's start a campaign to lobby Shure to come out with a TW3 with LDAC! (I'm not familiar with 2-pin but I love the TW2 and only wish it had LDAC.)
I for one would pay considerably more for it if necessary. There's nothing that comes close to the TW2 for form factor and features, and the SQ is "good" (with the right ear tips, thank you AZLA SednaEarfit Crystal Standard) but could use a step up with LDAC.
If anyone can make them prioritize that, it's us, here, where we have the interest and the numbers.

I wish. They are better than the iFi Go Pod in most ways but those upgrades would make it perfect. Unfortunately I don't think Shure gives a crap about this tiny category to do that, especially the 2 pin, as it's just a small niche market and they probably only view it to help shure earbuds sell.
I really want them to use aptx adaptive. I use the Fiio ones right now because it has it and it’s low latency. Everything else I’ve tried just has massive latency and makes computer use really suck.
Not sure if anyone could help me but I just bought tw2 aonic 215 sealed from our local marketplace, anyone know if I got a defective ones? The charger seems to be charging fine but I can't get to wake the L and R adapters. Are there any indicators that would tell they are on? Have not been successful so far for the last 5 hours. Been in the case and charger for about a couple of hours. Been watching yt and shure manuals and even followed the shureplus app instruction on how to pair but no luck.

I am very happy with my tw2 but it is my second pair. The first I had to return. I had the same as you but with one of the sides, the other working fine. It seems you will probably have to return yours as well.
the led light in the case is green when I open it which according to the manual indicates that the adapters are fully charged. I will wait for a few more hours and see what happens. Thinking it just got stocked for a very long time that's why it needs to be charged longer before it opens.
Try a Reset. While the case is plugged in and the headphones are in the case, press both buttons simultaneously and hold for about 15 seconds. The manual says 7 seconds but longer is probably a good idea. In fact, doing it right away a second time is probably a good idea, too.
Make sure the IEMs themselves are snapped onto the headphones properly. Remove and replace them. To remove them, use the fingernails of your thumb and middle finger to squeeze into the joint until it separates. Replace them by carefully aligning them and pressing firmly until it snaps in place.
The way you know it's working is you have them in your ears and you long-press the buttons until you hear the chime sound in both, and then of course music can play.
Make sure the eartips are inserted well into your ears. It's unlikely but possible they're working but you're not hearing anything because they're not inserted into your ears well.
And once it's working, I recommend you pick up some AZLA eartips. Maybe search the forum for my posts on that subject: which kind to buy for Shure IEMs and maybe even how to size them and insert them in the ear for best results.
