Hi there, was wondering how different audio players shuffle all the tracks ? Some better than others , some good, bad,
I'm in shuffle mode at the minute using the Fiio M7 playing songs from a 64gb card.
I'm sure one or two songs came on more than once ? How does Shuffle work ....

I don't know if there is an established rule, but it's one of those situations where true randomness might not be what we want because with true randomness getting 3 times the same song in one hour is a statistical possibility. So sometimes, instead of a randomized call for each new song, a player might generate a list(with X tracks, it might not be the total library) that avoids having twice the same song until the entire list was done.
But even then, such a list might be created anew at each boot. Then you could still end up with a song that you heard recently, being played on next boot.
