what a cool thread. i used to have a few RCs when i was younger - some gas but most battery powered.

do they still make the frogger?

Yes, Tamiya released a re-run for a short time...perhaps you can find it on ebay

I soooooooo want to get into RC copters...but that's an expensive investment on something can potentially last only 5 seconds in the air before it's totaled both figuratively and literally.

Its grounded now and just flying with the simulator.

I did.

I bought a Walkera Dragonfly 4. I practiced a bit scooting round the floor, hit a fridge, practiced more and more then decided I was ready to take it outside and try get it off the ground.

Prior to this I hadn't broken anything but after trying and failing to get it to fly well I had spend around $30 extra on parts. I kept trying but it never seemed to want to fly properly. I tried balancing the blades, paddles, etc but it still wouldn't fly so recently I sold it.

I don't think it was worth the trouble. I got a PicooZ too which was WAY more fun until my sister broke it...
