My old E9000ES and the matching DVP S7700 which i will give away next week.
 

The TA-E9000ES is a true beauty though.  Seeing the build quality of these gears and I wonder from time to time why we spend so much money on a dedicated headphone amp costing several thousand of dollars.  Of course, listening to a headphone output from Sony tells the whole story.

Yes, at that time, build quality was great. The DVD player´s front panel for example goes down before the disc tray moves out and reverse to allow more silence from the drive. Was always a nice ceremony

I used to have the SCD-1 and still own the SCD-777ES. I wish the sound is able to match the look on the SCD-1. SACD is still very good compared to today's standard but redbook is definitely lacking now.

CD was more reliable and faster. JA3ES hat lot of trouble and had to be repaired several times.
On modern Setup´s we probably would hear different sound quality. 
25 Years ago i was more interested in Heavy Metal music and used the devices for Guitar practice.
 
And the 333ES was a give away from a friend as he found out that the digital/analog out switch was on the backside of the casing.

Very generous of you. The JA3ES commanded over $500 recently on ebay. The SCD-1 used price has remained the same for the last 10 years or so.

I almost bought the TA-E1 several time but my speaker rig was not highend enough.  How did you like it?  What a beautiful piece!
