So Red, you have my curiosity up on these and what I'd really like to know (Hear actually) is the difference in the BAX with 1 DD and 2 BA's ($312) and the old VX Pro
with 8 BA's and 1 DD ($88). Since you have not heard any other TRN's I guess you can't say how losing 6 BA's is better? I'm assuming 2 Knowles stomps 4 each Customed (Apparently a Chinese spelling) 30095's and 50060's!
Well, I mean each design will sound different in that the distinguishing factors are for one open back.
The next would be EST drivers.
The next would be a redesigned woofer DD.
And there is a single Knowles BA that’s well implemented!
So they don’t just make new IEMs to boost sales, there are very different sound characteristics, as each sound making driver device has their own tone. But the vents let air out so that there is no pressure on your ear drums as well as it sounds like a big soundstage!

Though HBB did a video last nite on the Bax and didn’t really like it finding the treble too hot. But that’s the thing if you read my review I do talk about the treble boost. And the resulting intensity! One mans poison is another’s ahh....?......not poison.
But EST drivers have a character that offers treble with no steely BA character. Mostly people that own the Bax say that they love the tune. But not everyone loves the FR. It just depends on what you are after and what you value! Though the intensity could raise its head if I played a few intense tracks. Like the opening theme for Star Wars is way way too much. That is one to avoid, but this whole affect is a double edge sword, as it gives you details and well! Mainly the character value-reasoning to get the Bax is natural timbre and fast response. But they are super big, though not as heavy as they look, but not really low weight either.
But in my review I explain that this is a first for TRN, making the most expensive TOTL ear monitor they could.........that it was professionally tuned. That to me the sound is BIG sounding. The soundstage and bass creates a lot of presence, to say the least! Also the treble details make it way out to the outskirts of the soundstage. But the soundstage is also forward/back and not just right to left; so that’s the big sounding part! LARGE!
Add to that the air moving aspects of DD, and the different characteristics of EST and it’s special......to me anyway. It’s in the top four I own!
Sony IER-Z1R ($1800.00) The best detail and most natural reference.
Noble Audio Encore Universal ($1850.00) One that’s different and interesting.
EarSonics ONYX Universal (Euro $490) Has the best bass.
TRN Bax ($312.00) Extra total fun!
Pretty crazy how ridiculously good this combo sounds for $500 total. I just got this setup and have not had a desire to fire up my full sized system since. There is just something special about being able to walk around and still hear premium sound.

Sorry for the late reply. The Timeless are incredible, and within a few minutes of listening I forget I am even using iems. They sound more like headphones to me, than most iems I have tried. They are just flat out fun, with awesome speed, holographic staging, decent imaging and huge bass. Honestly, I really can't see anybody not liking them, and they get a big rec from me.
These are one of the best $97 I’ve ever spent on an iem! Combined with the Xiaofan cable at $51 they still meet the criteria at $148. I find these to be simply amazing.
