I currently own a pair of sennheiser PX 360 headphones. I like them but sometimes I find them uncomfortable. I mainly use my headphones for listening on the bus or at college and I mainly listen to indie rock. If I was to upgrade I dont think ide spend much more than £140 ($220). Any reccomendations?

You can grab a pair of Sennheiser Momentums for that price but you'd have to get them used here. Very nice sound and comfortable as long as you don't have larger ears. 
 
For half your budget you might consider a pair of vsonic gr07 mkii. The bass edition for this same model is very nice.
