So, I saw some Sennheiser HD 202's on Amazon for just $20 shipped, and I was wondering whether or not it was worth it. I currently use some Sony MDR-XD300's for home/ movies and a pair of the lower end Shure earbuds for my iPod. I'm not seriously in the market for headphones, but I could probably use some new ones and these seem to be good for the price. Can't say I'm a huge audiophile, but I appreciate quality. Thinking about getting these to tide me over until I feel like shelling out a bit more for a higher end pair. I don't really want to pay more than $30 shipped, so if you have any alternates, please keep it under that. I'm really focused on the 202's or the EH 150's, so if you have any info on these, that would be very helpful. Thanks.

the XD300 should sound better, the HD202 are crappy overly bassy headphones.

Get the Koss KSC-75, should sound better than both the Sony and Sennheiser. KSC-75 > XD400 I have laying around even.

Tried the HD202 as my school has them. To me, the way they fit on my head was horrible. Not comfortable at all. Felt like the earpads didn't shape to my head, and therefore suffered leakage. Gave me a headache

Ive a pair of the 202 and i think they are smashing phones for that price!
Being a glasses wearer i found them very comfy indeed which was a bonus.
For the price they sound great, especially for orchestral pieces!
I find them to be very brassy, they really bring out the sound of trumpets, saxaphones etc, more so than any other phone ive heard.
Very nice indeed and a bargain for that price

From my experience, the 202s are horrible headphones. KSC-75 is cheaper and MUCH better.

The KSC-75 are fully open clip-ons so you are not really comparing like with like.

There is an HD201 vs HD202 thread going on at the moment that is worth a glance. If you can cope with the lack of bass on the HD201 then it is the better buy.
