Hey, does anybody from south of the border know your country duty policy? Here in Canada we can be hit for goods with quoted value over $60 I guess. I will claim that cable I am about to send to buyer is made in U.S. Does it make any difference? Basically the issue is - what item price to claim

I've shipped overseas and received things a number of times. The only time I had to pay a duty was for a $500 item from Europe. The fee was something like $23.

Personally, I think it's best to be completely honest on customs forms. I wasn't happy about the extra $23, but paid it. And I always list everything correctly when I ship to another country.

For a $60 cable, the duty would be a few dollars, if anything.
