How is this noisy issue for now? Is it just specific system or happen to all combination?
Read old posts and you will have the answer. At least mine.
In forums it is not those who accumulate the comments which represent the truth.

@MyBigHead this is the quote from Shanling:
Here in the thread we discussed a bit higher noise floor on the UA4 at very low volumes. Further discussion with engineers showed this is unfortunate side effect in using this ESS DAC and how it behaves at different voltage settings.
It's more about volume setting and file format. How is this noisy issue for now? Is it just specific system or happen to all combination?
If you listen at very low volume and especially for DSD playback, it's more prevalent.
If you listen at normal volumes, it's not significant.

@Shanling, I updated my phone to Android 14, and it seems the dongle is behaving erratically, like sometimes I cant press the pause/play button, and sometimes, the display become black and nothing shows, and sample bitrate is not showing exactly what the file is. If I update the firmware, it will fix the problem? and if there is file upgrade for Mac? Thanks a lot

My phone is POCO F5 PRO, UA4 is fine now, no problem when using UAPP, but when using Tidal App, the bitrate sample is not accurate on the display, the file says its 96khz, but on the UA4 display it says, PCM 384khz.
Is it MQA file? Because that would be running the 8x upsampling. My phone is POCO F5 PRO, UA4 is fine now, no problem when using UAPP, but when using Tidal App, the bitrate sample is not accurate on the display, the file says its 96khz, but on the UA4 display it says, PCM 384khz.

Oh I see, that's the reason maybe I got PCM 384khz when using Tidal. Is there anyway to stop that upsampling when playing MQA? or that is really the way it should be?Is it MQA file? Because that would be running the 8x upsampling.
It's the desired processing of MQA format. No way to turn it off.Oh I see, that's the reason maybe I got PCM 384khz when using Tidal. Is there anyway to stop that upsampling when playing MQA? or that is really the way it should be?

thanks Shanling, now I know how it works, but in UAPP, I guess its upsampling 2x, I bought the UAPP and activate its MQA features. It says the App when use with DAC that MQA capable, it will further unfold the file. It's the desired processing of MQA format. No way to turn it off.
@Shanling Hi, I want to know if the UA4 can power my Simgot EA1000 and Yanyin Canon 2 easily with only the 3.5mm? Also, what are the benefits of the balanced 4.4mm exactly when compared to the 3.5mm? I'm new to this audio hobby, so I'm confused between these two audio connectors. Thanks in advance.
Simgot EA1000 specs: 127dB/Vrms and 16 ohms
Yanyin Canon 2 specs: 112dB/Vrms and 40 ohms
