Shanling Streamers - EM5 & NEW EA5 Plus

Hi,

Since Shanling decided that on this device the provided Android would be a closed one where you can not install your own apps, you will have to wait until Shanling's software team finds time to update the app. Until then, you'll have to live with the old version if it still works.

If you ask me, I think the Shanling headquarters have long forgotten that they released the EA5/EM5. Besides, the knowledge of the software team seems more than limited. And Shanling probably does not have the fundings to care about a device that does not sell anymore. So all those three considerations together, I highly doubt you'll see an update anytime soon...

I hope to be proven wrong. But that lack of support is the reason why I sold mine. And switched to something else that is fully functioning. Since I did so, I spend time listening to music instead of fighting technical difficulties.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought. Enjoy your music :)

Hi,

As a lawyer I can confirm that what they are doing does not comply with EU rules.

To be honest, I am fed up with those companies like Shanling that want to do business in Europe (who would not as the average income inside the EU is about the highest in the world) and ask for European prices without caring about the commercial rules that applies in those area where they take money from.
And they know they are at ease in China because no one will ever spend the money to sue them there...

But I would remind you that you can always sue the Shanling's representative in Italy or Europe as soon as that on is indentified.
As the representative he has to take the same liability as the manufacturer...
Stop speaking to Shanling. You will only get the same answer over and over "We reported this to our software team". But if you ask who works there and how many people work there, answer is "This is confidential information"... OKAY. I am then entitled to read "We have no permanent team only hired interns that work as part time developers under nobodys supervision". Unless of course I am proven wrong !
What makes me wonder is how a developer like the guy who developped Symphonium who works alone on this project, or even the guy behind UAPP can develop an app all alone that is MILES better than the Eddict software developed by a whole software tream of people who are supposed to do that a main job !

Regards.
