I can connect fine on both wireless projection as well as device resources. Did not experience any app crashes thus far on my Samsung. Will give IOS a try later. Are you running on firmware V1.21

@johnjazz, no connection between EM5 and Eddict on device resources. Maybe is a router or firewall problem. Last night connection on wireless projection was more stable.
Device resources and no mqa sound through digital outputs are my only problems with EM5 after 8 days of use, @Shanling. More time playing on both local and streaming music, sound is more beautiful. I love akm dac chips. Burning time for EM5 is recommendable.

Apparently, AKM is almost done rebuilding their factory after it was destroyed in a 2020 fire, should resume production first quarter next year… I have no idea how much order backlog they have, but their return is very good news (and I’m happy for them)!

I'm considering the EM5 as a bedroom all in one streamer.

Would this device be good enough for the Dan Clark Aeon 2 Noire?

I would connect the EM5 hardwired to avoid WiFi issues.

Streaming service is Qobuz. Should work from Android and Apple device's.

Is it possible to download qobuz files to the EM5 and play them from there?

Is the build-in equilizer any good?

I'm currently running a Cambridge CXN V2 and a Singxer SA1 In my living room and the Shanling should be able to match that setup at least.

I'm running on Mesh WiFi with no issues. Perhaps you can try connecting the EM5 directly to your router using a network cable to nail down the issue. Are you running on the v1.21 firmware as it helped my EM5 on the stability issues for both the projection as well as device resource connections.

@Mansinthe86, I can download tracks from Qobuz, tidal, Amazon and Apple Music to EM5, and then play them offline.The problem is that any of those streaming services on EM5 doesn’t recognize micro sd card, so you can only download to the internal 32gb memory of the EM5.

I think pairing with Aeon 2 should be working fine.

Qobuz app is available directly on the EM5, so you can control playback form there directly.

EQ is quite basic.

Interesting... Where in the settings did you find the SRC control on the EM5? That's supposedly a function to override Android's default resampling known as Sampling Rate Conversion.

It’s in the pull down menu android menu.

It's forced resampling. Resampling all audio output to set sampling rate or even DSD.

Available in quick access menu for quick On/Off and can be set in Audio part of settings.

You can also try to toggle the EM5 wireless projection to off/on as it may help if the your device is not visible on the Eddict player.

So far no plans for Youtube services on EM5.

Not sure why, but every time the screen locks and goes black, I'm losing wifi signal, even though I have an excellent signal strength (866 mbps when I checked). I also have the option to keep wifi on set to always in the WLAN settings, so that isn't the issue. I'm also have updated to the latest firmware.

I'm just curious if anybody else has had this issue? It would be nice if in the settings I could put the screen to never sleep as that would solve my problem...but 30 minutes is the max allowed on the EM5.
