This could be fantastic and in line with what I am looking for.
I find myself not needing a dap for portable, but not wanting to run a PC for desktop listening.

Some questions, suggestions
- As I understand the device will have like an inbuilt DAP running Android, though it's a desktop device without battery, right?
- will you allow USB connections, thus using the device as a DAC?
- will you allow full MQA decoding in that DAC mode? (Please do as I think many users don't want to lean over the device touch screen while they could just use their phone laying in bed 1m away)
- will you offer a balanced real LO for optional external amps?

1. It's same system as M30. So customized closed Android. And yes, there is no battery in EA5/EM5.
2. Yes, it can be used as USB DAC.
3. Not exactly sure about this.
4. EM5 offers XLR outputs, acting either as fixed line-out or preamplifier.

From what I am reading that device is really more and more interesting.
Streamer, Shanling house sound, desktop size soundstage through the built-in headphone amp (from what I hope) plus possibility to route that balanced to further amps - and all for below 1000 bucks...
Could put that to one of my 2 listening positions and use my power amp at the other place.
Hope the SQ will be on M8 level plus wider stage, more juice on the amp.
Though I know the controversial MQA discussion, if Shanling can make decoding work also in DAC mode that can be a strong competition to other desktop DACs/streamers in that price range

So far Apple Music is not implemented
