Brian, what are you looking for with IEMs? Is it just a casual hobby, or are you listening for a certain grade of FR or sound quality that reproduces the sounds of your lovely guitars?

Brian,
That's a most excellent collection of guitars. Are you in a band?

Hi Claud, thanks for the kind words. I play every week on our church worship team. I have been doing that steadily about the last 15 years. We play the kind of songs you would hear on Christian radio. They let me spice them up a bit now and then. The PRS on the far right was a gift from my wife for our 20th wedding anniversary. The Fenders in the middle are USA 1996 and 1997. The ones on the outside edges are Ultras a few years old. All USA. We do love our toys!!! Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the background Brian. I see that like myself, you are an older gent. I am 73 and with age your treble hearing falls off. If I were you, I would get a good mid priced IEM like the universal Supermoon or Sen Ie 600. There are several older gents here on the Cooler. If you need answers just pm me

Hi Claud, yes running about 10 years behind you! Another hearing adventure was that I got Widex Moment hearing aids earlier this year. It was great and sad at the same time because my IEMs were no longer an option for my daily life. So I moved into the realm of over ears and they do work well with my hearing aids... I am hearing better than I ever had in my life right now. I had ear problems since I was 3 or 4 years old. So I only use my Bose IEM when I am mowing the yard or on a plane... and my Apples when I take them off at night and listen to audio books. I bought a pair of Sennheiser 58X from Drop for 129.00 as my first set... they are decent. Then I bought a pair of Hifiman Ananda's open box for 550.00 from Headphones.com. They are the best headphones I have used to date. I would like to buy some even higher rated ones, but I chose to upgrade to the M6 Ultra instead. Any thoughts on the subject? I am pretty satisfied with the sound I am getting with this combo. I do not have any other high end equipment for music but these do work pretty well. I guess my highest end tech are my hearing aids themselves! It is amazing what modern tech can do. They connect to my iPhone and Apple Watch! They have a setting for music which I use when I play and listen... Steve Lukather of Toto even recommends these and uses them himself. We are all getting old! Great to connect with you here. I was thinking of starting a thread and calling it "The hearing impaired audiophile."

oh boy the m6 ultra paint is really light, I have carefully put my m6u on my sidetable and I put it beside my lamp and it made contact, not rubbed or anything but just barely touched my bedside lamp made with stone i believe. Guys be careful with your dap it scratches real fast, and yes I had my case on, it got hit on the volume knob

GRRRRR! I am sorry to hear that. Yes, I treat mine like fine crystal but I would not be surprised if something happens to it still!

How is it not when my s22 and pc tidal softwares do sort out properly but not on my m6u? Im not trying to nitpick but rather asking genuinely since its my one and only dap
And I can only recommend to ask the app developer. I really don't think we have any power over how are playlists in 3rd party apps sorted.
