It will have newer android version than the M6?
And you can hear a difference between M6 and M6 pro in sounding or is it only more powerful amplifier?

At release same Android 7.1 as M6. Update to Android 9 is planned for both versions of M6.
M6 having different DACs and completely different Amp brings overall improvement to sound, not just higher power.

At least the M11 Pro has a THX module, which kinda is an Quality Assurance System in a way, as the name has long history in movie production, (yes I know Razer owns them now, but thats beside the point) what "Pro" is in this?

As this model shares a lot with standard M6, we didn't want to call it M7. At the same time it's not a new generation, so it's not fitting our M2, M2s, M2X naming scheme. So we opted to use simple "Pro" naming, as is common in electronic nowadays.

Ha! I was looking into getting ( yet ) another DAP for gym/mobile use and passed on the M6 and was leaning towards the Cowon Plenue R2 which had more power. This changes everything for my decision---
Any idea of the price in USD? M6 is roughly $ 499---will the Pro be $ 599 or thereabouts?

Great question. Yeah that EFI/RFI noise is plaguing a few of the new DAPs that's for sure.

I don't remember anybody complaining about RFI noise on M6. There were few early noise cases with some DSD playback, which were fixed in firmware updates.

I'd expect similar to Fiio M11Pro (none stainless) I presume the M6Pro is alloy as no mention of Stainless Steel.

Same construction as standard M6, so aluminium frame and glass panels

RF Noise? I own the M6 now for a long time, but there is no noise.

Really! I rate my M6 just above my M11Pro SS and my M11Pro SS just above the M15 I had and sold.

I had a chance to compare M6 and M11 Pro.
My opinion is quite opposite of yours, I am not heavy EQ guy like you though.
I used default players, M11 Pro is very true to the source and cleanest of the FiiO line up. M6 seems little coloured comparitively.
We all have different tastes. It is very difficult to decide which is better.
It comes down to preferences mostly.

This is disappointing, I literally just ordered an m6 a few days ago, haven't even received it yet. It's a relatively new model, why did you guys have to pull a Fiio and immediately upgrade it. Shanling hasn't ever done this in the past. all my excitement for my new DAP just went down the drain.

You're still receiving a DAP that you want, no shame in that. There's no need to own the latest product; if you were gonna be happy with the M6 you bought before you knew this was coming out, you're still going to be happy with it now. Besides, this product is gonna cost more, and we all know the law of diminishing returns when it comes to audio.

If it really bothers you, I'm sure you can return the M6 you bought and buy this one instead. Don't be too hard on yourself man.

It happened to a lot of FiiO owners. M11 Pro and M15 were released in a short period of time.
There's always an upgraded product coming out.
