DAP like M5s has vastly different target audience than M0, so of course even the color choice will be affected like this.
But it doesn't mean there will be no other colors some time in the future.
M5s and M0 are so different players, that having both will be no problem and each will find its purpose.

What is "real flagship"? Need to throw in the most expensive chip and exotic materials for body to make one?
Also, as in any industry, there are always plans for future development, always some new players coming. If anybody thinks their new flagship player will stay like that for years to come, they are in wrong hobby.
And one last thing, just because manufacturer releases new flagship, doesn't mean the old one suddenly sounds bad. It's just in the heads of audiophiles, the never ending chase for the latest "flagship" status item
Why would flagship need some vastly different design? Just because some other brands go crazy with their flagships doesn't mean it's good or wanted. Making design to stand out of the crowd is nice for marketing, but sometimes not the best when it comes to actually using it and holding it in your hands.
Full screen body with no bezels, it's lovely trend set by smartphones, but there is no need for that in audio dedicated player.
All these specs are posted in first two posts of this thread.
Audiobooks of course can go into both systems, but while on M0 it can be considered priority considering its user base, on M5s it will be just nice feature hidden in menu for small group of people.
