Yah! I've been waiting for this.
I had the M5s which I loved so much, it led me to the M3, M3X, M6 21 Pro, UP2, UP4 and UP5. I've been looking forward to the return of a Non Android MTouch player. Expect Shanling House Sound, exceptional double digit battery life, almost instant on. Am I close @Shanling ?

For battery life, M5 Ultra focuses on sound quality, wo battery life is a less of priority.
But yes, Shanling house sound and as quick start up as our other MTouch players

On our MTouch players there is gapless support, that includes this new M5 Ultra

I really hope this has similar power to the M6 Ultra! Regardless, a definite purchase for me.

Very different amplifier and less DACs, among some other smaller differences in the sound circuit. It's more rival to our M6 Ultra / M7, than to the M9 Plus.

It will support Tidal streaming, but online only. (Offline playback is not allowed outside of official app)

Shanling is the best! I hope the amp side will be good (without Ricore) and output impedeance will be not high.
And the last wish is a price. If it will be ~ 500 USD . That will be a bomb! and medium segment killa. fingers crossed

I believed that gapless playback on your android based DAPs has been requested many times in the past by quite a lot of users and yet nothing has been done to it.

Gapless for our Android app has been on the request list to our software team since the original M6, so beginning of 2019. We keep reminding them about it, but so far we have received no update.
