Hi to all!

Sorry for my English, as it's not my native langage.

I just received a M3X, and have encountered some issues with my SD card: I have installed Apple Music and Qobuz from APKPure, and downloaded some music to the SD card (Samsung, 512 Go).
Every time I restart the device, or after an auto shutdown, the files recorded from Qobuz on the SD card disappear, and I have to change the default storage mode in Apple music, which have come back to "internal store" although I changed it to SD card before the shutdown.

Have you ever heard about something like this?

Thanks and have a good day!

Frederic.

edit: clearing the cache didn’t change anything…

Firstly, just to be sure, is this a brand new card or have you used it in some other device before?

But overall our software team recommends to store data only on internal memory for this offline use of streaming apps.

@Shanling or anyone else -- can you please supply a new link to firmware 1.67. This one doesn't work anymore. Ever since the last update, my M3X autokills the Casse-O-Player app the moment it starts playing. This never happened on the prior firmware. Thanks.

Send me PM, can send the file directly to you.
We do not keep older firmwares online.

The card is 3 months old, i used it in a Nintendo Switch before. I formatted it in FAT32 using a Macbook first, and then again directly with the M3X.

I have chosen the M3X because of the possibility to use Apple Music offline. That is why I haven't bought a simplier DAP with no Android. And now you answer me this is not possible, that your devs recommends to not use offline apps fonctions. I think you should mention that in your commercial informations, because this is not fair playing with customers. 32 Go is very little when you download Hi Res files. So their answer is non sense, sorry for that.

Anyway, Apple Music offline is usable, just change the downloading target to SD Card, because every start of the device change it to Internal storage. Maybe mounting problems at device starting? M3X OS version is 1.75, Apple Music version is 4.5. Maybe must try the 4.6 beta version of Apple Music ?
Is the downloading target not recorded in the cache or in a confit file? That should be basic, so it is strange.

About Qobuz, it is quite strange too: importing files on the SD card is working good, but after starting there is no more file. I have checked on the SD card and actually there was no Qobuz data. It means that, during the M3X starting, the files are deleted? Strange. I will do more test.
Qobuz version is 7.10.0.1.

This my first DAP, so i won't give up making it work!

Please do not format the card in the M3X, format it on your computer, use normal EXfat and try it again please.
Hi Shanling, thanks for your answer.

I have formatted the sad card in ExFat and the problem still occurs.

Do you have an example of sd card brand for which one the offline listening is working?

I have tested ko with a Samsung evo and a Kingston.

So far apple music is ok, just have to change the download target every time I have to start the device.

But sad for Qobuz, I would have liked to try it.

Regards,

Frederic

«Practically, Android allows you to install almost every app on the adopted storage. But it also requires the consent of the app’s developer. He has the freedom to enable or disable support for adopted storage in the app by adding relevant attributes in the code.»

Maybe its time to ask your question to apple...

After the last update 1.75, both mqa and flac Hi-Res files can be played in TIDAL app again.
But in TIDAL app some mqa tracks are not able to be decoded correctly by Shanling to headphones and the sound is "jerky".
This problem does not occur when using the USB Audio Player.
