Why do you keep buying their products if you hate them so much? Life's too short to carry this much anger towards something you don't need to engage with.

That's exactly what I was wondering. If every product I bought from one brand was complete rubbish, I hope I'd have the intelligence to stop buying them, sooner rather than later.

I'm dying to review this @Shanling and maybe send one over. Also waiting a AK4499 Modular slot. And 9038Pro Dual, and Cirrus Logic Quad. . This is very competitive in the market. If one doesn't like a certain flavour, you could put another module.

i have Shanling products starting from t200 up to 6pro and some other stuff in between. Im familiar how exact "big" they are.Their products ALL i have + other come across are Simply dodgy & unreliable products. Obviously their R&D need fix .I'm certain m3x will be exact same "standard". 2021 yet hard for companies to create real good DAP.

Any news about M3X availability? Shanling announced here that resellers will get their first units the last week of February. Mine in Spain hasn't received them yet.

I'd like to see an android player delivered with all the audio tech goodies, plus a state-of-the-art soc cpu. I want the latest and greatest, future-proof gadget.

As long as there's some kind of chip inside, there is no future-proof gadget. By it's very nature everything tech is obsolete almost immediately on release. That doesn't mean it doesn't work, sound fantastic, it just means the next evolution is always around the corner pushing the last generation farther and farther back. It never ends.

Can I at least get 3 years of Android updates, especially security updates?

The best gadget I currently see that is that future-proof is the iBasso DX300. $1200 USD.
