Any instructions on how to install new firmware.
Many thanks in advance

Should be as simple as downloading and decompressing the new firmware, placing it in the root drive, and selecting upgrade firmware (not sure about exact terminology, but it should be obvious). Isn't that working for you?

unzip the zip file you downloaded on our website, and you get a m3.fw file. Put it in the root folder in your TF card and select update in the setting menu. Please note that your TF card should be in the format of FAT32

I am more on the Cayin side.

Coming from an Ibasso DX50 I fear the DX80 to be in the same league : one sound signature per firmware

The Cayin seems to be a strong opponent for the M3.

But I have to wait a little, I do not have the money to buy a new DAP right now, that was not planned :frowning2:
And I have to digest the fact I bought a device with a driver not compatible with Windows 8,8.1 and 10 ...
Am I the only one to find this situation crazy? Signed drivers are a requirement since Windows 8 ( released three years ago ).

A good news is that we already solved the problem of the drivers. In June we will update the drivers to make it compatible on Win10. Then M2, M3 or M5 will have correct USB driver on Win10.

Cheers.

Oh...really? Shanling : I love you !!!
Many thanks for good support.

Yes we got the license and related drivers, but we would need a bit more time to update the firmware. Thanks for your enthusiasm!

Would it be possible to add support for more than only 24bits 44khz to the driver? It would be awesome if you could also add support for 48khz,96khz etc

Sorry what to you mean? USB input supports up to 24bit/192kHz.

Thanks.
