Shanling M2

Thank you very much for trying to help me out.
How shall I remove the middle part of the wheel? There's only one screw and I removed it. Still the cover is in place.

Considering that Shanling representative is responding to you right here, yes, we will try to help you.

I was talking about removing wheel, since when you remove wheel(middle part of it), you will get clear look on the button mechanism.
Button itself is small gold "bubble", that when pressed records it as command. If this button doesn't work, it was probably damaged and pretty much need to be replaced on PCB.

To Shanling
Could you guide me how to disassemble the player or give me a link to read on how to disassemble it?
What is PCB?

Please, first just try to look into player before you try to open it and might damage some part of it.

To remove middle part of the wheel, use your nail or some other thin object, pry in tiny gap between outside wheel and the wheel with icons. This way, you can remove center button and the ring with icons to check the inside mechanism of the wheel.

There is no guide on how to disassemble M2.
PCB is printed circuit board, the green green board inside the device.

How shall I put the centre ring back after removing it? Glue?

The Shanling website has just about every firmware for every unit posted. I wish my M2 had been more reliable; I liked the sound but it needed to be rebooted constantly.

At least for me, changing firmware did not help.

I think it sounded better than my replacement; the M2S but that unit is fairly solid in terms of smooth operation and that is worth quite a bit to me.

Everybody probably has different experiences with this device. At first it sounded great but then over time became buggy. It needed constant reboots. The unit was replaced under warranty but the second developed similar problems.

The follow on model; the M2S, is in my experience very solid. The M0 is also solid.
