Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

EQ works in bluetooth and USB mode but for files up to 24/48.
I would like my Sony NW WM1A to do the same.

So you mean EQ works when using the M0 bluetooth receiver (e.g. from a phone) and being USB DAC for a PC? Maybe my initial question was confusing and it sounds like you might mean that EQ works when outputting to bluetooth devices (e.g. BT headphones). Because I found a reply from Shanling around July saying EQ only works when playing files on the device, which would be contradicting. Thanks!

Fiio recently released firmware that allowsyou to install any app, so you can now install any audiobook app you like. I use smartaudiobook player.

As said ad nauseum it's only the lack of that particular feature that stops me using the m0 as a main player. Mine now sits as backup in case of anything happening to my main one.

I believe such update is only for Fiio M6 and higher players, not for Fiio M5 which was talked here.

The equalization works on bluetooth with files read on the device whith headphones. I don't know if it works on files transmitted by USB or bluetooth..

Hello,

In the situation where I'm using the M0 to listen to music from the SD card and I have an eq profile on, when I stream music from my phone to the M0, does it still use the eq that was previously being used?

Hi all, i got Sony wh-1000xm3 couple of weeks ago but im really struggling with the M0 and the headphones.
While running with Bluetooth the connection is so bad, for it to work i have to keep the M0 higher than chest level, otherwise it will start cutting and skipping like crazy.
This is not the case with my phone.

Any ideas ?

Have you tried deleting the Sony from the M0 and re-pairing it?

Have you tried different Bluetooth codecs? I.e. Ldac, apt, sbc?

Ill try repairing again and see, i tried apt as I thought LDAC and my 320kph music might be too much but didnt help.
It is very bad in crowded areas like airport, if im home then it works better.

It makes sense having a worse connection in the airport considering it's likely that there are a higher concentration of people using bluetooth.

Just got an M0 and it looks good so far. Couple of slight problems though.
  1. I have tried two pairs of wired earbuds and none of the volume/stop/start controls seem to work. That doesn't seem right. I think the wireless ones I tried did work but had a bit of "dropout". Wired controls should work?
  2. I also tried downloading firmware 3.2 (came with 3.1) and it gives a "firmware check error" type message when trying to update.
Any ideas?

Try using other software to extract the file i.e winzip.

Inline /wired controls are not supported.
