@Shanling
I have had this player for 2 days and today volume changing stopped working :/ I was on replay gain settings screen and tried to change volume and it stopped. I tried downgrading, factory settings, volume lock off, double click and triple click works perfectly.

EDIT.
I left M0 off for 6/7 hours and now surprisingly volume does work but with one problem. It skips 2 levels often.
Here is link to yt video:

I tried to go from volume 100 to 0 and counted that and it took 72 clicks.

Confirm similar with v3.2

Device locked, turn wheel once to reduce vol, no reduction. Turn again no reduction. Turn again 1 decrement.

First turn of the wheel is only to bring up volume setting, from second turn it should work as should.

I've been researching DAPs in the $100-150 range, and I think I've settled on the m0 or fiio m6. I could get the m0 for about $90, m6 is $150. Do you guys think if I used PowerAmp with the m6, the price increase is justified? I mainly would use it in the car or when reading/working on computer, but would also like to have it available for working out, m0 is obviously better from a portability standpoint. Not a huge audiophile by any means, but I do appreciate good sound, and I would want the ability to make playlists easily (coming from a rockboxed unit, really enjoyed its dynamic playlist functions).

Have you researched the fiio m5? There are some physical feature of it that I prefer to the Shanling m0 (which I have):
- rocker volume and power buttons rather than the wheel of the m0
- the attached clip of the m5 is a rocker and should be easier to attach to clothing for workout
- the screen display on the m5 can be set to rotate 90, 180 or 270 degrees. With the m0 you may be reading the display upside down when clipped to a shirt pocket

Neither have multiple bookmarks for podcasts which is a major failing for me. The playlist creation of the m0 is ok for a one-time activity of lots of tracks, of for a handful of tracks. The m5 may be similar but I have not researched. There may be other differences and feature of the m0 that suit you better.

I was thinking of the m5, but I saw some reviews mention the sound wasn't as good as the m0. Have you tried making playlists on the m5? And how does the m5 compare with an m6, if you've used both?

For M0, you can now easily import external playlists.

I'm sure I would be fine with either option. I mainly wanted to get input on if the increase in price is worth the ability to use PowerAmp with the m6, when compared to what I would get with the m0, and i guess the m5 too. I'm not huge on using equalizers, don't need tons of customizing options, but if the ability to make it sound way better is there, and it has an easier-to-use dynamic playlist system like rockbox...it's hard to ignore. Also, if I went with the m0, it would be almost 10 bucks cheaper, and with a clip case, so that's not a factor between it and m5.

Does anyone know if the 10-band EQ works in USB-DAC mode (from PC) and Bluetooth receiver mode (from smartphone)? I'm looking to buy the M0 and curious about that functionality.

EDIT: Found some post from July saying that it only works on internal playback, unfortunately.

Fiio recently released firmware that allowsyou to install any app, so you can now install any audiobook app you like. I use smartaudiobook player.

As said ad nauseum it's only the lack of that particular feature that stops me using the m0 as a main player. Mine now sits as backup in case of anything happening to my main one.
