Gold plated driver? I thought the idea when playing driver diaphragms was to choose the most rigid substance possible to increase performance? Interested to know what sort of sound a gold plated driver will produce.

This gold plated driver is interesting, this really will make the music suited for audiophiles with golden ears LOL.

We have this one external engineer we cooperate with and this driver is one of his creations.He was always on the more "experimental" side of Hi-Fi.

Visited the Guangzhou Headphone Show today and listened to the Shanling ME700 IEMs .. typically I use IBasso IT04 and they competed well with those . Very exciting range of new products and was super impressed listening to the new M6 DAP which has beautiful styling too and feels great to hold . In its price bracket the SQ was exceptional and the signature was reference .

Very interesting, thanks for the impressions. How is the sub-bass on the ME700? I'm about to get started on my ME500 PE review soon and I'm really enjoying the sound.

ME700 vs 500 PE difference was significant . The 700 sub-bass was clean and controlled . ME700 price still TBC . They are considerably different IEMs competing in different price brackets I’m sure .

So far I can only see it at one AliExpress store (Shenzhenaudio store) but I was told they will start appearing in the usual shops (including Amazon) any day now.

Still little bit away. Currently we are releasing the ME200 in China, ME700 will follow.
