No, they are not like open headphones. Surrounding people will not hear your music, if you are not blasting it extremely loud. The main thing is that they will isolate little bit less than fully sealed IEMs.

I Love everything about the new Sono iems which made me also want the new MG100. They are only available for overseas shipping so I will wait until they show up on the Amazon shop in the USA. I came across the ME500 Shine and decide give them shot until then. I couldn’t find anything on your site or any reviews that had a frequency response graph or even described their sound signature. I have no idea what I’m getting myself into but hopefully these also have a nice v shape tuning like the Sono, MG100 and the previous ME500. As long as Shine doesn’t mean these are super bright/bass lean I’m sure I’ll love them. Shanling new releases have been awesome so far. Love my H5. The H2 and H7 are on my future purchase list. Auditioned the IP4 2022 and that also is an excellent product.

Thank you! Was the timing on the MG100 Amazon listing coincidental? Now I will be able to compare the Sono, ME500 Shine and the MG100 next week. The laid back Steel nozzle MG100 sound signature is what I’m looking forward to hearing.

It seems it has been listed on Amazon for more than a month, but something was preventing it from actually showing up in search to customers. Amazon team only fixed it this week.

I went back and looked at the listing and it does say October 20, 2023 was first day available. Definitely not visible anywhere until today because I’ve been looking for them. Now you know why nobody was buying them on Amazon… lol

My Shanling L3 lightning to usb c cable arrived today and I highly recommend it for anyone with iPhone/iPad lighting connector. Beats any Apple camera adapter + usb cable and is far better than the similar FiiO cable. Highly transparent, clean, accurate non-colored signal into my H5.

Love the MG100s so far… but, unfortunately this comment turned out to be prophetic for the ME500 Shine, “As long as Shine doesn’t mean these are super bright/bass lean I’m sure I’ll love them.” They were and no love was felt for them.

Upon the recommendation of a very wise HF'er here, I decided to try out a set of the MG800. I'm so glad I did, as this IEM is just a sonic masterpiece. It is pure addiction to listen to, and I find myself using it for hours a day, with no fatigue, and ultimate comfort. The incredibly small form factor just disappears in my ears and I almost can't even feel it, while it just pumps out the grandest scale of music, totally enveloping me. It's a fantastic achievement in the world of IEMs.
